What American auto brand do YOU think is the best, in terms of Aesthetics, resale, reliability, etc.?
Mу personal favorite іѕ rіɡһt now Dodge, bυt, GM іѕ working hard аחԁ һаѕ mаԁе ѕοmе ɡrеаt products Ɩіkе tһе Camaro, аחԁ tһе Malibu. Dodge һаѕ tһе awesome Charger аחԁ 300. Fords pretty ɡοοԁ, Fusions חοt bаԁ, חеіtһеr іѕ tһе חеw Escape, аחԁ tһе Mustangs always іѕ awesome.

Ford. They make affordable great cars and also pretty cheap to maintain.
Also big plus, they did not run to govt asking for bailout
Ford.. my Mustang is almost at 150,000 on the original engine and transmission with no problems. I drove a new Fusion recently and it was awesome, and the 2010 will be better yet. The new Taurus for 2010 is sweet, and the Fiesta is coming in 2011. Ford is the only one that has not taken money from the government, so they control their own destiny.
I “believe” Toyota is the best brand. The fact that it’s a foreign car and has a very good durability make it valuable even after a few years of usage and doesn’t cost as much as a lexus. It also due to the fact that it costs less to fix. Not quite lower overall because the parts costs more than other brand’s parts because they have higher quality but the labor is lower because it’s much easier to fix while other parts are somewhat cheaper but the labor costs is a pain in the neck. It actually costs almost as much to fix a toyota as of to fix another brand but it lasts longer. I’ve been working for an auto body shop and they all prefer toyota. And don’t ever get a land rover. It’s the worst brand ever even for a brand new car it got a lot … and i mean A LOT of problems.

It depends on what you are looking for. For SUV the Ford Expedition or Explorer are the best on its class. If you are looking for a passenger sedan car I would say Chevrolet or GM with their Pontiac G6 or Chevy Malibu. If you want a sporty car a Mustang is a great car.
Bottom line is, I don’t like Ford, they are not very reliable but parts are cheap. New Chevy line looks good and seems reliable.
But if you really want a reliable car for a great value, try japanese (Honda, Toyota)
LOVE the new Challenger!!! Had a 74 Challenger with a 71 340 in it in my early days and it was awesome!! Now I just tool around comfortably in my 04 Vette but if I get the “need” its there!!

Honda just happens to have the best resale value and the best reliability. They look great and sporty and great on gas anc have cheap maintenance.

I’d have to go with Ford right now. They’ve got a great family sedan in the Fusion, plus a muscle car with the Mustang, an SUV for every size, and of course, the F-150!
